Payment notifications inform you of any payments made to your M-pesa shortcodes. These notifications can be received via SMS or Email depending on your settings, allowing you to stay updated on your transactions in real-time.

To set up payment notifications:

1. Navigate to the Property/Shortcodes section in the side menu.
2. Select the shortcode for which you want to receive notifications.
3. Choose the users you want to receive notifications and specify their preferred notification channel (SMS or Email).
4. Save your settings.

You can manage your notification settings in the Property/Settings section. Here, you can:

• Update the SMS gateway settings.
• Configure the email gateway.
• Choose the preferred notification method for each user associated with the shortcode.

Q1: Can I receive notifications for multiple shortcodes?
Yes, you can set up notifications for multiple shortcodes by repeating the setup process for each shortcode.

Q2: Will I be charged for receiving SMS notifications?
Charges for SMS notifications depend on your selected SMS provider. If you do not have an SMS provider, you can use our system default, which requires sufficient funds in your property wallet. Our standard rate is 1 KES per SMS.

Q3: Can I change the notification method after setting it up?
Yes, you can update your notification preferences at any time through the Property/Settings section.
