Help - STK Push

STK Push (SIM Toolkit Push) is a service that allows merchants to initiate a prompt for payment on a customer's mobile phone. It is a secure and efficient way to request payment from customers using the M-Pesa platform. When an STK Push is initiated, the customer receives a pop-up notification on their mobile device asking them to authorize the payment by entering their M-Pesa PIN.
When you create an invoice or a payment request on the M-pesa transactions Portal, our system sends an STK Push message to the customer's mobile phone. The message includes the payment amount and the merchant's details. The customer then receives a pop-up notification, which prompts them to enter their M-Pesa PIN to complete the transaction. Once the PIN is entered, the payment is processed, and both the customer and the merchant receive a confirmation message.

Using STK Push on our M-pesa transactions Portal is straightforward. When generating an invoice or a payment request, select the option to send an STK Push notification. Enter the customer's mobile phone number and the amount to be paid. The system will automatically send the STK Push message to the customer's phone, prompting them to complete the payment. You can monitor the status of the payment in real-time through the portal.
Sometimes, customers may not receive the STK Push message due to network issues, incorrect mobile numbers, or insufficient funds. Ensure that the customer's mobile number is correct, they have a stable network connection, and sufficient funds in their M-Pesa account. If issues persist, our support team is available to assist you with resolving any problems.
