Help - Shortcode Invoices

Shortcode Invoices are digital invoices generated within our M-pesa transactions Portal that use your M-Pesa shortcode for payment processing. These invoices simplify the billing and payment collection process, allowing businesses to request and receive payments directly through the M-Pesa system.

To generate a Shortcode Invoice, log in to the M-pesa transactions Portal and navigate to the invoice creation section. Fill in the details such as the client's name, contact information, the amount to be charged, and any additional notes. Select the M-Pesa shortcode associated with your business. Once completed, you can copy the invoice link to send to your client via email or SMS. Alternatively you can let our system send it out automatially by setting up invoice reminders.

When a client receives a Shortcode Invoice, they simply follow the payment instructions provided. This typically involves clicking the "Pay now" button available on the invoice. This will send a STK push to their phone to conveniently make the payment. Upon confirmation, both the client and the business receive a payment confirmation message.
